The book is really cool, well written and informative/entertaining... half the little toys are pretty cool looking, but some are kinda dull with very little detail. The game was fun to play with the kids I got it for (especially the riddles portion) however, we had to use a spinner from twister b/c the spinner that came with this game was attached so tightly that it barely moved. So make sure you have your own 4 section spinner available - then just split those into 2 sections each with a marker or something to divide the weapons parts.
Again, I really hate when I buy something that is "new" and it comes in looking like a worn toy that someone has tried to patch back together. The tube of animals was completely undone-does the person packing this not pay attention to details like this? I guess we could blame the post office, but I'm pretty sure they're not responsible for the torn corners. Some scotch tape and hopefully the kid won't notice. If I wanted used toys I'd go to Goodwill. Will not use this seller again.
My son loves this! Did not come with the characters or the map, but he enjoys reading the book about mythical beasts. The book is fantastic for any child who wants to learn more.
It my has been my mistake. I thought I was getting the tube with the characters too.... not just the book. It is a great series, though!
Very disappointed. Did not come with figurines.
I love the groovy tunes series, but this one came without the game board or the tube of figurines.
My 6 and 7 year old boys got both of these books as gifts and Love them.The 7 year old was able to read and explain all the characters to his siblings, so they could play with the figurines in the tube. Even the 4 year old girl played w/ the more fem characters.This gift will definitely be going to Show and Tell!
Got this for my 6-year-old son for Christmas. He had seen it in a store and really liked it. Loved the mythical characters and stories. The board game was a bit disappointing.
