I stayed up all night reading ‘Salt in my Soul’ because I couldn’t put it down. I simultaneously laughed while also ugly crying. As a CF and post-lung transplant patient myself who also has B. cepacia so many things Mallory articulated I could relate with so much. It breaks my heart that she is no longer on this Earth because the world was so much brighter with her in it. Mallory was simply brilliant. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy.
This book is about so many things, most especially life, love, friendship and heartache.It's about Living Happy.Mallory's writing style flows with such ease, while gripping the reader making you unable to put the book down!I did not know Mallory, but reading this book gives me the privilege of reading her story; the story of an unbelievably strong, articulate, smart and beautiful young woman.This is a book everyone should read!

I read it while I was in the hospital and can honestly say Mallory gave me the strength to persevere.
Mal was able to write so beautifully about the impossibly hard things that she was going through. The way she was able to communicate her outlook on life and love, family. Her brilliance shone through every page. I think especially having known her, and seen her be such an unbelievable person, but not fully knowing everything she was going through ‘behind the scenes’, just proves how strong and special she was.
