My favorite spellbook I currently own and I'm that weirdo who collects them yet never does a single spell. The only slight nitpick is that she asks for tarot cards and once used, the card is harmed beyond repair. Some see Tarot as just cards or a game, but I take divination far more serious so I could never ruin any of my cards, even if its a spare deck I had laying around. But that's more personal to me.
I have been a practising witch my entire life (57 years) and I can honestly say I enjoyed this book. After all the years I have been living a magical life not much is new to me about practising the craft. With that said I read half the book in one day, that is high praise.
One of the greatest books on modern witchcraft that you could purchase the spells are easy to understand easy to read and it explains everything you need to know from A to Z I definitely would recommend this book for anybody that is interested in witchcraft and spells anybody from beginner to intermediate to pro I definitely would recommend this book 5 out of 5
What an incredible book. I've been practising for many years and Skye has done a fantastic job of laying out the first stepping stone for any new practitioner of magick. Even after all my years of practise I learned some new things, so as the saying goes, you're never too old to learn something new. Thank you Skye.
Skye Alexander is a wonderful easy to read and understand author, If you are looking for a guide to start with if you are just starting out as a witch or just learning about the craft I highly recommend her books.That being said, the shape of the book is in leaves me a bit sad as I have wanted this and the rest of her books for a long time. I bought it used and was disappointed, which is not normal for my buys off here. Some wear is always expected when you buy used and we all know that but the cover is dirty, the sides worn there are stickers on it. The markings on the pages are readable but distracting. So as for used I am not happy about it and will have to buy a new one. So this is not a bad thing about the contents of the book, this is about the shape of book I received. :(
For a beginner, this is perfect. I bought this, along with the beginner's guide by her as well. Only a 3 because I'd hoped for more in depth spellwork for more than the basics of 'more money/love/luck/protection'. The beginning was essentially a crash course of what the first book had been, then spellwork following, as well as another crash course of holidays in the back. I loved the beginner's book better, but this certainly isn't a bad book. Just not exactly what I expected.
I am very novice to the world of occult, so this was a nice introduction to spell crafting. This will certainly help you on your journey, as it helped me tremendously. Simple to understand and read. Wow! I wish they had books like this 15 years ago. It would had saved me from some disastrous relationships. Books like these are a rare find. I found the chapters about how to keep your women helplessly attracted to you very informative and it works. These kind of guides are always great and are needed even though sometimes we think we already know but the fact is no. We don't or at least we forget what we need to do. Sorry, but having exhausted the really hard puzzles to be found in books like The Fiercely Ferocious Puzzle book and its ilk, these are rather tame and simple by comparison. Love Will Shortz but these are not very challenging.
My husband loves these books, he says they are just the right difficulty. He doesn't like puzzles with themes and these don't have that. Also the print is not too small, the squares are not too small, the spiral binding allows the book to lay flat and the pages are easy to tear out if you want to. He has not run into any duplicate puzzles so far either. I'll continue to buy them for him whenever a new one comes out
I like this collection because it is printed in a spiral-bound book and the print is larger than some NYT collections I’ve purchased in the past. I wish they were all Saturday puzzles, though; some seem quite a bit easier than others. Working puzzles is my favorite “sleeping pill.†No prescription needed.
I bought my mother one of the “ferocious†books because she loves difficult crosswords. She said they’re dang near impossible. These are challenging but not “ferocious.†I don’t personally do crosswords so I only have her word to go by. LOL. But I took this to mean these make her think in a good way - the others make her frustrated.
Difficult but very doable. Very much enjoyed the challenge.
My husband is an avid crossword puzzler. He found this one quite challenging but none were so bad they frustrated him. He graded it "PERFECT"!
The crossword puzzles are demanding, at least for me. Enjoying the challenges.
This book was given to our 99 year old Grandmother. The puzzles keep her going strong.

AJ Powers’ Convergence is a good story well told. The characters are three dimensional with plenty of flaws that make them believable and sympathetic. The plot has plenty of twists and the action has enough pauses for the reader to catch his breath, making for a great pace. The story is well edited and crafted.All that being said, Convergence is a great stand-alone story, but as part of The Five Roads to Texas Series it falls short. The series began with groups of characters (each written by a different author) getting to the “safe zone†in El Paso, Texas. The following books, 2 and 3, continue the story of the characters after their arrival and departure from the “safe zone.†As readers we learn nothing new about the plague or what’s happening with the foreign invasion. In other words Convergence doesn’t move the series along. With the inclusion of Convergence, maybe the series should be retitled, Six Roads to Texas. I hope Powers writes a follow-up story about Malcolm, Naomi and TJ because I would definitely read it. And, that was the original promise of the series.Do I recommend, Convergence? You bet, but be advised you are not going to learn anything new concerning The Five Roads to Texas series.
In this story we find our protagonist wishing for some quiet time alone and little does he know that he will soon get more than he wished for. I hate people who give away the story so let’s just say I found this book well written and with a very well thought out story line and well developed characters. Read the authors notes about his story if you need to know about the story, there’s enough there to get anyone interested if you enjoy Apocalyptic stories. This is my first book by Mr Powers and I totally enjoyed it, so much so that I’m going to purchase a couple more to read right away. I rate this Five stars and I highly recommend this book.
Out of the other books in this on going series this one was by far the slowest and most predictable. The first 6 or chapters all I could think is this is what would happen if lifetime or the oxygen network made an apocalyptic disaster book. After that the main character is thinking correctly on what actions he should take but yet makes same horror film stupid moves. To illustrate how predictable and unimaginative this plot was I call every major event in the book chapters prior to them happen. Other then that I love the idea and plot line behind this colaborated series. It’s a new twist on a good genre. I also enjoyed this author I just wish he was less predictable and more imaginative. Yes I know you can only do so much before it repeats but you can change how it is going to play out.
Another brilliant addition to the Five Roads series. Convergence is amazing from strat to finish. With the addition of new characters to the series, Aj brings new view points and makes you wonder how you handle bringing your family into a world full of infectious beast. I've come to expect great book from Aj Powers and he never disappoints,
A man who has lost everything and is ready to give up on life finds new hope when he meets a family trying to cross the zombie infested country. He finds new reasons to survive by protecting the family and helping get them to a survivor camp in Texas. Great story with lots of action that keeps your interest throughout.
Convergence builds you up, then brings you back down throughout the book. There is definitely a surprise around each corner, with never knowing who will be the next to meet their end. It is full of action and heart breaks with strong characters on all fronts. It is well worth the money and time invested.
Whil I expected to see a few more characters we already know from Five Roads to Texas this was a good story with characters that I really liked.

I loved this book. It's got the layouts in 3 mediums so one will appeal to you. They show it just in layout format, drawing of the actual flowers, and finally a photograph of the same flower bed. Love seeing it in the 3 views. Only thing I would have liked is they show how long each plant is in bloom. I found myself having to go to other resources as I start to look for ideas on what to plant.
Tons of information. It was just what I was looking for. Have ordered many other books on this and similar topics, think this is the best one so far.
I just bought a large (50' x 150') empty lot next door to me and needed ideas to "dress it up". Since I wanted to do primarily perennials, this book is a godsend! There are plans for several different beds/borders for all kinds of locations. Since this lot is partly in full sun, partial shade and full shade I now have solutions for each of these areas! I'm not going to do everything at once, just as I can afford it, but I now can have a comprehensive plan for everything.
Excellent, easy-to-read and understand book about beautifying your landscape at a reasonable cost. Even if you aren't a gardener per se, you could use this book as instruction for a professional landscaper. Large, clear color photographs show the full effect of plantings.
